Artists, we need you!

Calling all artists! Be part of the 3rd edition of our annual fundraiser and gallery show, ReMADE: A Sustainable Art Experience! Artist submissions to this unique event are free, and everyone is welcome to participate!

We kindly ask each participating artist to donate a work(s) of art to be auctioned during our live event on Friday, December 5, at the Art Academy of Cincinnati’s Site 1212. All proceeds from artwork sales will directly support Indigo Hippo’s ongoing mission.

Submission deadline is November 15!

ReMADE: A Sustainable Art Experience will be a vibrant evening of art, music, and community, highlighting the creative talent and original works of Cincinnati’s remarkable artists, as well as Indigo Hippo’s mission to broaden arts accessibility, reduce waste, and inspire possibility through creative reuse.



The Fine Print:

What is the Fundraiser Gallery Auction?

  • We kindly ask participating artists to donate their works for a live art auction during our fundraiser event.

ALL PROCEEDS from artwork sales during the event will go toward supporting Indigo Hippo’s ongoing mission. THANK YOU for your continual support and generosity! 

  • Artwork that is not sold during the event will be returned to the artists.

What is Indigo Hippo’s Mission?

  • Indigo Hippo’s ongoing mission is to broaden access to creativity, reduce waste, and inspire a sense of possibility by giving creative materials a second life in the hands of our community.

Do Artists receive anything for their donation? Yes! After artwork has been dropped off, Artists will receive:

  • A complimentary ticket for you to attend our Fundraiser Event and Gallery Show

  • A $10 voucher to use in-store at Indigo Hippo (no online redemption)

  • Your name/website/socials will be featured on our website from December-January

  • A custom Indigo Hippo pin recognizing artists at our Fundraiser Event (picked up during the event)



Gallery Show FAQ's:

Does my piece have to be new?

  • No! All work must be original, but can be artwork you have previously created.

Do I need to price my piece(s)?

  • No! All artwork will have the same starting bid.

Are there medium restrictions?

  • No! As long as the artwork is ready to hang, does NOT exceed 20 x 20 inches in any direction, and does not exceed 5 lbs. There will be a select number of pedestals and shelves to display sculptural pieces. If you’re uncertain about your piece, please email hello@indigohippo.org.

How will the artwork be displayed?

  • The art will be displayed salon style on traditional gallery walls, shelves, and pedestals with your title and artist details on a card with a QR code to be bid on next to the piece(s).

Can I submit more than one piece?

  • Absolutely!

Does my piece have to use reused materials?

  • No, but we encourage it!

Can anyone participate?

  • Yes!

Is there an age limit?

  • No! We encourage artists of all ages to participate!

When is the deadline to submit?

  • The deadline to submit is November 15th

Are there any guidelines for the subject matter of my artwork?

  • Artwork must be family-friendly and void of overt political or religious themes, profanity, adult subject matter, and nudity.

Do I need to drop off my piece(s)?

  • Yes, the drop-off window is between October 1st and November 15th at Indigo Hippo during store hours Tuesday (12-5 PM), Wednesday-Saturday (12-6 PM). If you drop off on a Tuesday, please call the store when you arrive.

When is the Show and Fundraiser Event?

  • Friday, December 5th from 6pm - 9pm at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Site 1212

Do I get a physical ticket to ReMADE?

  • No! Your name will be on a list when you arrive. Please visit the check-in desk to get your Artist pin.
